Neutering

So you want to get your furry feline friend neutered? We can help.

Here at Cats Protection we can give you up to date advice about neutering and get it done for free if you are on a low income or means-tested benefits.

It’s simple really. Here's how:

Pick up the phone and call us on 07716 704012 or email fromecp@gmail.com or complete our web enquiry form.

We are all volunteers so may not be able to get back to you immediately. However we will get back to you within 48hrs.

Our friendly and knowledgeable volunteers will contact you and discuss your cat’s needs and offer information and advice. The earliest recommended age for neutering is 4 months so don’t leave it much later than this or you could end up with an unwanted litter of kittens!

  • All you have to do is book your cat/kitten an appointment and make sure you have a secure cat carrier and transport to and from the vets. We can help with transport if you have a disability or no way of getting there.
  • We will take care of the cost of the neutering operation so you do not have to part with any money. The vet will explain any pre/post operative care which should be strictly followed for the welfare of your cat.

Why not call us today! 07716 704012
We are always happy to talk about cats, discuss their needs and offer advice. Remember that the sooner you get your cat neutered the greater the benefits for the health and welfare of your cat and the welfare of cats in general.

Why Neuter?

  • Neutering of male cats means they are less likely to roam and fight sometimes resulting in serious injury. It also decreases the need to display territorial behaviour such as spraying
  • Neutering of female cats prevents litters of unwanted kittens and undesirable behaviour such as calling and wailing
  • It can also greatly reduce the risk of the both sexes contracting serious and sometimes fatal feline diseases such as FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) & FELV (Feline Leukaemia Virus)
  • There are also many other health benefits for the cat and you are less likely to end up with costly vet bills by taking control of thesituation and getting your cat neutered sooner rather than later

Be a responsible owner and help prevent the continued increase in the number of unwanted cats and kittens already searching for loving homes.
